In order to increase understanding about U.S. society and policies, The American Center invites American speakers and specialists to address and exchange ideas with their Lithuanian counterparts in such areas as U.S. foreign policy, defense and security, human rights, the rule of law, protection of intellectual property rights, arts management and various aspects of American culture, history, society and values. The Center also awards small grants to Lithuanian nongovernmental organizations to undertake projects designed to promote American culture in Lithuania.
