Media Engages with USNATO Ambassador Ivo Daalder

On January 18th, the U.S. Embassy hosted a digital video conference (DVC) between Lithuanian journalists and U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO Ivo Daalder, to discuss the recently announced U.S. defense strategic review. Journalists from t.v., newspaper, the internet and the wire services were represented, and had the opportunity to hear about the new policy from Ambassador Daalder.
They also questioned him on issues ranging from Afghanistan, to the Chicago NATO Summit, to the future of Baltic Air Policing. The U.S. Embassies in Tallinn and Riga were also able to connect Lativan and Estonia journalists to this discussion. Future opportunities with U.S. policymakers are being planned, particularly in the context of the upcoming NATO Summit.
