Lost or Stolen Passports
- Americans should safeguard passports as they would any other valuable.
- If your passport is lost or stolen in Lithuania, you may come to the Consular Section during American Citizens Service public hours to apply for a replacement.
- In order to issue an American passport, we must have proof of identity and citizenship.
- All passport applicants must provide two identical 2" x 2" or 5cm x 5cm photos in color on a plain white or off white background.
- You may access an electronic version of the DS-11 form through this link.
- Americans applying for a new passport to replace a lost or stolen passport must pay a $100 passport issuance fee. The fee must be paid in cash in either USD or Lithuanian Litas to the Embassy at the time of application submission.
Please note that from December 01, 2009 the consular section will begin using an appointment system for non-emergency U.S. citizen services.
