Lost or Stolen Passports
- Americans should safeguard passports as they would any other valuable.
- If your passport is lost or stolen in Lithuania, come to the Consular Section during American Citizens Service public hours to apply for a replacement.
- In order to issue an American passport, we must have proof of identity and citizenship.
- All passport applicants must provide two identical 2" x 2" or 5cm x 5cm photos in color.
- Americans applying for a new passport to replace a lost or stolen passport must pay a $100 passport issuance fee. The fee must be paid in cash in either USD or Litas to the Embassy at the time of application submission.
Passport Renewal
- Americans should safeguard passports as they would any other valuable.
- If you need to renew your passport, you may also come to the Consular Section to apply for a new passport. You may access the electronic version of form DS-82 through this link.
- In order to issue an American passport, we must have proof of identity and citizenship. If you are renewing a valid or recently expired passport, your passport will serve as proof of both identity and citizenship.
- All passport applicants must provide two identical 2" x 2" or 5cm x 5cm photos in color.
- All passport applicants will be required to pay a passport issuance fee. The fee must be paid in cash in either USD or Litas to the Embassy at the time of application submission. The chart below provides information about fee categories and amounts:

Please note: Both parents must appear with minor applicants under the age of 16.
