In rare circumstances, expedited appointments for interviews may be granted for the following reasons at the Consular Section's discretion:
- Emergency medical treatment
- Emergency business travel
- Family emergency, such as death
- Student or exchange visitors
- Other emergency (such as an appearance in U.S. court)
