On September 11-15th, USAFE Dixieland septet "Wings of Dixie" performed in Vilnius, Kaunas, Marijampolė, Druskininkai and Šiauliai to audiences varying from 150 to 600 people.
"Wings of Dixie" was tremendously successful with an audience of all ages and introduced Lithuanian audience to Dixieland - style of jazz music which developed in New Orleans at the start of the 20th.
During their free time, band members managed to teach master classes at Vilnius Conservaroty and Druskininkai music school, as well as meet with government officials and NGO respresentatives to highlight the importance of cultural exchange.
