Ambassador Derse attends inaugural ceremony of Junior Professional Program

On August 30th, Ambassador Derse attended the inaugural ceremony for JPP, an innovative public service fellowship program created by "Invest Lithuania" and "Enterprise Lithuania” together with the Lithuanian government. The program’s goal is to attract young Lithuanians who graduated from foreign universities to jobs in the public sector in Lithuania.
During the 12-month program, participants serve in 3 4-month rotations in different public sector institutions involved in the implementation of major institutional projects of foreign investment, entrepreneurship, innovation, the EU's support, education and so on. Twenty young graduates from universities in 9 countries take part in the program this year; 5 graduated from U.S. schools.
