The American Embassy in Vilnius, Lithuania now accepts a limited number of non-immigrant visa applications from individuals who are resident in Belarus.
Interviews are conducted in English or Lithuanian. However, the Embassy is able to provide translation in the Russian language. All supporting documentation in the Russian language must be translated into English or Lithuanian.
Important: While Embassy Vilnius accepts all types of visa applications by residents of Belarus, applicants for the Summer Work and Travel Program who are neither Lithuanian nationals nor students at a Lithuanian university, may find it very challenging to demonstrate they are eligible for a J-1 visa. Therefore, this type of applicant is strongly encouraged to apply at the American Embassy in Moscow or Consulate in St. Petersburg.
