U.S. Ambassador Cloud to visit Mazeikiai and Akmene

Thursday, 8 March

11:45 - 12:40 Meeting with Mazeikiai Mayor (Laisves g. 8/1, Mazeikiai)

Friday, 9 March

12:00 - 13:00 Meeting with Akmene Mayor (L.Petraviciaus a. 2, Akmene)

On Thursday and Friday, March 8-9, Ambassador John A. Cloud will visit Mazeikiai and Naujoji Akmene. 

While in Mazeikiai, Ambassador Cloud will meet with Mazeikiai Mayor Vilhelmas Dziugelis and visit the Mazeikių Nafta refinery, Butinge terminal, and Rapsoila bio-fuel plant.

In Naujoji Akmene Ambassador Cloud will meet with Mayor of Akmene Anicetas Lupeika and Vice-Mayor Eugenija Meskiene.  He will also visit a local school.

In his frequent travels to cities and towns across Lithuania, Ambassador Cloud often visits local schools to meet with high school students.  The Ambassador has visited schools in Kaunas, Klaipeda, Panevezys, Siauliai, Marijampole, Utena, Alytus, Taurage and Ignalina to answer student questions and discuss study and travel opportunities in the United States.
