U.S. Senator Arlen Specter to Visit Lithuania from December 27-29, 2002

Vilnius, December 27, 2002 -- The Embassy of the United States of America in Vilnius is pleased to announce that the Honorable Arlen Specter, U.S. Senator from the State of Pennsylvania will visit Lithuania on December 27-29, 2002.  Senator Specter will become the Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs in the next Congress.  He is also a member of the Committees on Appropriations, Environment and Public Works, and the Judiciary.  During his visit to Lithuania, Senator Specter will meet with Lithuanian officials and consult with U.S. Embassy officials.

Senator Specter will be accompanied during his visit to Lithuania by his wife, Joan, and members of his staff.  Following his visit to Lithuania, Senator Specter will also visit Germany, Israel, Egypt, and Syria.
