All U.S. VISA Processing Fees Must be Paid at Vilnius Bank Before Arrival at Embassy

December 8, 2000

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2001

ALL U.S. VISA PROCESSING FEES MUST BE PAID AT VILNIUS BANK BEFORE ARRIVAL AT EMBASSY

December 8, 2000-  The U.S. Embassy in Vilnius announces that from January 1, 2001, all visa application processing fees for the United States must be paid at any branch office or outlet of the Vilnius Bank anywhere in Lithuania.

- All persons who have already received an appointment for an interview due to take place after January 1, 2001, must pay the application processing fee before arrival for the interview. A green bank receipt must be presented to the Embassy at the time of the interview. Fees may be paid anytime between now and the time of their appointment.

- Anyone applying for an appointment after January 1, 2001 must have a green bank receipt in order to obtain an appointment sticker.

- Each individual applying must present a separate receipt.  No single receipt for an entire family will be accepted.

- The fee is 180 Litai.  It should be deposited at any branch office or outlet of Vilnius Bank throughout Lithuania and must be made in Litai.  The deposit must be made into ACCOUNT Number 4603299.

- Do not forget to save the receipt.

This new system is part of the U.S. Embassy’s effort to better serve our customers since payment of the fees can be done anywhere in Lithuania and applicants will not need to bring the fees with them to the Embassy.
