The White House plans for President Bush to receive President Paksas in Washington

On October 24th, the White House announced plans for President Bush to receive President Paksas in Washington on 8 December 2003.

Preparations for the trip continue as planned.

President Bush to Welcome President Rolandas Paksas of Lithuania

Statement by the Press Secretary

President Bush will welcome President Rolandas Paksas of Lithuania to the White House on December 8. Lithuania has been invited to join the NATO Alliance and has been a good friend of the United States. The President and President Paksas will discuss transatlantic cooperation to meet the challenges of our time, including the reconstruction of Iraq, and key regional issues in Europe.
