10th Anniversary of the Fulbright Educational Program in Lithuania

September 26, 2002 --Vilnius, Lithuania. The Fulbright Program in Lithuania is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Lithuania. Participants in the Scholar, Graduate Student, Teacher, School Administrator or Fulbright Summer Institute programs who participated in this program since 1992 were cordially invited to the ceremony on Thursday, September 26 at 16.00h at the American Center (Pranciskonu 3/6, Vilnius).

Fulbright Stipends to the U.S. 2003-2004 academic year
2003-2004 Humphrey Fellowship Program to the U.S.
The Educational Exchanges Section of the American Center manages a range of academic and professional exchanges and scholarship programs in the U.S., including the Fulbright scholarship program , Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship program and the American Studies program.
In addition to academic and professional exchanges, the Educational and Cultural Sections of the American Center work with Lithuanian universities, teacher training institutions, and other academic, cultural, governmental and non-governmental organizations to support English Language Teaching programs, development of civic education curricula, and academic programs in American Studies.
Keeping an objective to increase understanding about U.S. society and policies, and to broaden the dialogue between Americans and U.S. institutions and their Lithuanian counterparts, the American Center invites American speakers and specialists, distributes publications in both English and Lithuanian and sponsors programs related to such issues as U.S. foreign policy, U.S.-Lithuanian relations, support for the development of democratic institutions and a democratic society, rule of law, and American culture, history, society, and values.
The Educational Exchanges Section works with the Vilnius Educational Advising Center to provide information to interested students about university undergraduate and post graduate academic study programs in the United States.
