Conference on U.S. Drug Prevention and Treatment Policy

On Wednesday, September 7th, 2005, 13:00 – 16.00 h, the American center will be hosting a conference on U.S. Drug Prevention and Treatment Policy.

The objective of the conference is to describe U.S. Drug Prevention and Treatment Practices of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and to present an overview of the U.S. National Drug Control Strategy.  The conference will provide a useful forum for exchanging ideas on this issue of vital societal importance.  

Ambassador Stephen Mull, Mr. Zilvinas Padaiga, Lithuanian Minister of Healthcare, Ms. Audrone Astrauskiene, Director of Narcotics Control Department, Ms. Stephenie Colston, Senior Advisor on Substance Abuse, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) at the Department of Health and Human Services , the U.S. National Drug Control Strategy and Mr. David Murray (via Digital Video Conference), Special Assistant to the Director, Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), White House, are scheduled to speak.
