Members of Seimas Ms. Rasa Jukneviciene and Mr. Vaclov Stankevich met with officials of the U.S. State Department

Two members of Lithuania's Seimas (Parliament), Ms. Rasa Jukneviciene and Mr. Vaclov Stankevich, met with officials of the State Department's Bureaus of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) and European Affairs

(EUR), as well as with representatives of the U.S. Agency for International Development in Washington, D.C. on April 23 to discuss the human rights situation in Belarus.

Ms. Jukneviciene and Mr. Stankevich are leaders of a Lithuanian parliamentary working group on Belarus.

State Department officials welcomed Lithuania’s Leadership in encouraging the development of human rights in Belarus.
