U.S. State Secretary Rice will be greeted by Lithuanian Military Officers and Basketball Players

Representatives of Lithuanian national youth basketball team will be greeting the U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at Vilnius Airport today.  

State Secretary Rice will also be greeted by Major General Valdas Tutkus, Commanding General, Lithuanian Armed Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Gintautas Zenkevicius, Chief of the Lithuanian Afghanistan Provincial Reconstruction Team and Deputy Chief of Staff for International Cooperation and Integration, other members of the Lithuanian Afghanistan Provincial Reconstruction Team. Lithuania took the lead in reconstruction of one of the Afghanistan areas seeking to support democracy and rebuild the supply sector in the western Ghor province.
